I’ve had journals for a very long time, since the age of 14.  Originally, they were handwritten into bound notebooks, my pen guiding my way.  As technology progressed, they became typewritten and saved onto a computer.  These days, with the advent of the internet, and all of free-flowing ways of communication that connect us, they are published online, visible to all.

They’ve always been a solace to me, a medium where the emotional etchings in my heart could be forged into words on paper.  It was the one place where I could unload the partial weight of my hopes and dreams, my happiness and pain, my joy and sorrow.  A journal wasn’t a haven for me, but merely an outlet that helped me be sane and functional, allowing me to make sense of what I thought and how I felt.

Sometimes I believe that writing saved my life.

So now I’ve come full circle, and I’ve finally started my own site so I can consolidate all the various pieces of text that I’ve puked up over the years, across so many different websites.  I’ve been all over the place, from LiveJournal to Xanga, and Blogger to Tabulas, and so many more.

It’ll take some time to put together and transcribe most of the writing that I have cared to save.  In the end, I hope to have a centralized record of my writing that has marked my passage of time.

I hope that you’ll come visit me often and peruse through the archives.  Even if you’re a current/former reader, and come across some old pieces of writing, I’m sure that there is plenty that you haven’t read.
